There’s nothing quite like a proper cream tea, and at The Cockerel Café & Bakery, we like to do it right. Our cream teas are made with love, using fresh, homemade ingredients and served with a big dose of countryside charm.

We offer a tasty selection of freshly made sandwiches, with all of the classic and comforting fillings that everyone loves. Then come our delicious homemade scones, ready to be slathered with fruity strawberry jam and indulgent clotted cream. Simple, satisfying, and seriously good.

Whether you're catching up with friends or family, out exploring Peasmarsh or Rye, or just fancy a little afternoon treat, our cream teas are a great way to take a break and enjoy something special. Pair it with a pot of tea or one of our great coffees, or even a bottle of Prosecco, it’s up to you.

• Cream Tea - £6.50: - Choice of 2 Scones (plain or sultana), Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam

• Savoury Tea - £7.50: - 2x Cheese & Onion Scones, Chutney & Butter

• Afternoon Tea - £30: For x2 people, selection of Sandwiches, Scones & Cakes & unlimited Tea or Coffee. We request 24 hours advance bookings for our Afternoon Tea's. Please call to book.

You’ll find us just outside Rye in the lovely village of Peasmarsh. We’ve got plenty of space inside and out, so come and make yourself at home. No fuss, just good food and a warm welcome.​
